• simple relation between the FMI-diagnostic formula for the stable mixing height and RiB

• pollutant concentrations are related to the strength of inverson <=> RiB <=> stable mixing height ..BUT..

• knowledge on RiB (or h(RiB)) not enough for a decent forecast of episodes!

• RiB-profiles should be estimated => might be useful in assessing the stable mixing height (instead of simple diagnostic formulas)

• preliminary calculations suggest a value RicritB » 2-3
